With the holiday & trigger season, there hasn't been much painting except a few paint pours... not my best work, I may add but I guess that's to be expected coming from the frame of mind I've been in of late.
I also tried some old CDs as painting surfaces to use up some paint leftover from a previous pour... for these I had the vases on top of the CDs & poured over the top then removing the vases & tilting the paint over the edges. The second set seemed to have lost most of the contrast colour & hence the vase & CD are fairly dark compared to the first set.
I also did a second layer of resin on the side table with very disappointing results... I tried a local resin from Bunnings, but it doesn't look like it's self-levelling & the surface doesnt look anything like what I expected. Well, that's a $300 worth fail & to say I was devastated😥 is an understatement. Now I'm trying to salvage this one to become be sellable so I can get more materials.🤦♀️🤔
My other challenge is to find a way to create a 100% level surface in my studio for the pours & resin to dry properly. Fire away in the comments below should you have any suggestions.🤔
With the help of my Elijah House tribe sister Wendy, we've identified some of the wounding behind my "trigger season" on Friday & I'm edging ever closer to dealing with those roots & sinful responses... thank you Lord for the clarity You've provided.
Next week I will focus on preparation for Elijah House encounter group starting in February...
