Week 8 Creative Connect Group: 19/06/2020 Psalm 45:1

Updated: Sep 5, 2020

Following on previous discussions around guarding our hearts & restraining our tongue. What's in our hearts will overflow out of our mouths. We've also learnt previously that death & life is in the power of our tongue. Every day we eat the fruit of our words. Our decisions & speech determine our destination. If we don't like what we're living, we need to change what we're speaking. Most of us have seen or experienced the pain that hurtful words can cause our hearts& how it affects our speech. Recite means to repeat aloud or declaim (a poem or passage) from memory before an audience. Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing & hearing by the Word of God. The things we speak out loud & hear become ingrained in our hearts. Hence the importance to guard our hearts & reign in our tongue. Proverbs 21:23 tells us whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
